The Disappearance of Mathew Potts

27 year old Mathew Potts was last seen in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 13, 2020. His vehicle was found abandoned in the Ozark Mountains near Fly Gap in Arkansas six days later.

Disappearance

On January 13, 2020, Mathew Potts was last seen in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He hasn’t been heard from since.

Mathew is from Texas and served with the Army in Afghanistan. His loved ones say he would sometimes be out of contact with them for months a time, but never this long. It’s also uncharacteristic of him to leave his car.

Investigation

On January 19, 2020, Mathew’s vehicle was found abandoned on Fly Gap Road near the Ozark National Forest in rural Franklin County, Arkansas. The vehicle had been there for approximately one week.

Mathew left his wallet behind in his car, which included his identification and bank cards.

Potts has no connection to the area, and aside from a pair of boots found a mile away in the woods no further clues as to his whereabouts have been found.

Appearance

Mathew has brown hair, green eyes, stands 5’7 tall, and weighs 170 pounds. He has a tattoo of the word “Savage” on the inside of his upper arm, and “Familia” in the middle of his chest.

Clothing & Accessories:
Mathew was possibly wearing a blue jacket, grey/brown cargo pants, a red knit hat, and a green backpack.
